Materija intime – Garaža Kamba, solo exhibition

In seas, rivers, streams, and the steadfast stones that form hills and mountains, life pulses with hidden matter full of potential.

Through the creative process, I seek to redefine design practice through a focus on materiality. Clay—a product of geological transformation shaped by various elements—demonstrates an ability to adapt into something new without losing the essence of its origin. Working with this primordial matter, layered over millennia, evokes a deep connection to the earth and draws one back to a core that requires grounding, understanding, and patience.

The process begins with observing what lies beneath our feet—an inexhaustible source for exploration and testing at high temperatures, which will determine the subsequent hand movements, tactility, and functionality. Organic and untamed forms are displayed on geometrically shaped bases. The installation symbolizes natural cycles, the revival of craft and tradition, and an appreciation for beauty that is, by its nature, imperfect, transient, and incomplete, yet endlessly complex and inspiring.
