Home Is Where the Hearth Is is an exhibition that reimagines the concept of home as a perception rather than a fixed reality—a feeling rather than a physical form.

This exhibition deconstructs the idea of the domestic space, reconfiguring it into clusters of activities that collectively define what we call home. It draws a series of layers, moving from the public to the private—from the recibidor (entrance hall) to the womb.

In an era of emotional design, curator Sylvia Sanchez Montoya has invited a diverse group of artists, designers, performers, and makers whose work, directly or indirectly, explores themes of belonging, inhabiting, and shelter.

Home Is Where the Hearth Is challenges us to expand our boundaries, inviting us to feel safe, welcome, and at home—wherever we may be in the world.
