Udvaranje

A series of sculptures titled Udvaranje explores the rituals of seduction. It investigates what is primal and biological in the act of seduction, as well as the role of aesthetics in the art of courtship.
The inspiration for the form and texture of the sculptures is drawn from nature, particularly from the courtship practice intertwined with the artistic act. This involves a seduction ritual of a fish from the Tetradontidae family, which carefully shapes a delicate sculpture in the sand over several days to win the affection of a female. Ultimately, its silent sculpture radiates an otherworldly, mysterious strength. The designer has attempted to convey this silent yet powerful narrative in the sculptures of this collection.
The play of light and shadow in these sculptures draws observers into a mystical world of nature and the primordial role of aesthetics in courtship. It invites us to explore our own relationship with the mystical in the art of seduction and reminds us of the charms of that beautiful and fragile ritual. The title of the collection can also be seen as an act of courtship by the designer towards the audience, through the patient crafting of material into which she imprints the emotions of the moment of creation.
